Terms of Use & Sale

Version 2 · 28 August 2026. Plain language, no surprises.

Kairio is operated by DPSmart Software Solutions, a business registered in the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago. In these terms, “Kairio”, “we” and “us” mean that business, and “you” means anyone browsing, buying, or holding a customer account. By creating an account, or by paying for an order, you agree to these terms electronically — under the Electronic Transactions Act of Trinidad and Tobago that has the same effect as signing on paper.

Who you're buying from

Kairio is a marketplace. Every store on Kairio is an independent business — the vendor is the seller of the items and services you buy, and is responsible for them. Kairio collects your payment and passes the vendor their share; so for the payment you deal with us, and for the item you deal with the vendor. We’re not a party to the sale itself, but we do enforce the rules below on every vendor, and our dispute process is how problems get resolved.

Prices and fees

The price on a listing is the vendor’s full price — taxes included, no add-ons hidden in it. Before you pay, checkout itemizes everything else: the delivery fee for the method you choose and an estimate of the payment fee for how you pay — the payment provider adds its exact fee on its payment page, where you see the final total before you confirm. Nothing is charged beyond what you’ve seen before you pay. One exception, and checkout labels it: if you choose to arrange delivery directly with the vendor, that delivery isn’t priced at checkout — you agree the cost with the vendor and pay them for it separately. The payment fee covers what the payment provider charges to move the money; it’s part of the cost of the transaction, and except where a problem is the vendor’s fault (below) it isn’t returned when an order is refunded.

Paying

Payments are processed by WAM (WamNow Technologies), an e-money issuer registered with the Central Bank of Trinidad and Tobago. We never see or store your card number. WAM adds its card fee when you pay — checkout shows you an estimate of it before you’re redirected — and nothing is charged until you complete WAM’s payment page, so if checkout fails with an error, you haven’t paid.

Cash on delivery, where offered, is collected by the courier when your order arrives. The COD fee shown at checkout applies, and an order refused at the door may affect your ability to use COD again.

Delivery

At checkout you choose courier delivery, the vendor’s own delivery, or pickup. Courier delivery is carried out by an independent courier company; the dates and times shown are estimates, not guarantees. Where the vendor delivers, their fee for your area is shown at checkout — unless you pick “arrange with vendor”, in which case you and the vendor agree the delivery cost and payment between yourselves, outside Kairio, and any dispute about that arrangement is between you and the vendor. Made-to-order items show a lead time before they ship. For pickup, the collection address and contact are shown at checkout and on your invoice.

When a vendor doesn't respond

Vendors must accept your paid order within 24 hours. If they don’t, the order cancels automatically and you’re refunded in full — including the payment fee.

Returns, refunds and disputes

You can open a return or dispute on an order within the return window shown on the platform (currently 14 days from delivery). The vendor responds first; if you can’t agree, Kairio steps in and decides. Our decision is final within the platform, but nothing in these terms takes away rights you have under Trinidad and Tobago law.

How refunds work:

  • If the problem is the vendor’s fault (they cancelled, didn’t respond, or the order was not as described), you’re refunded everything you paid, including the payment fee.
  • If you simply changed your mind within the return window, you’re refunded the order amount; the payment fee isn’t returned, because the payment provider has already kept it.
  • Once a refund is approved, we submit it to the payment provider within 2 business days. Wallet refunds usually arrive the same day; card refunds typically take 5–10 business days to appear, which is the card network’s timing, not ours.

Service bookings

A booking is confirmed when you pay. You can cancel up to 24 hours before your slot for a refund of everything except the payment fee. Inside 24 hours, or if you don’t show up, the vendor keeps the payment — their time was reserved for you. If the vendor cancels your booking at any time, you’re refunded in full, including the payment fee.

Event tickets

Tickets are a final sale. Your ticket is the QR code we email you — keep it private, because whoever presents it gets in; giving someone your QR code is how you give someone your ticket. If the event is cancelled, or the vendor materially changes its date or venue, you’re refunded in full, including the payment fee.

Digital products

When you buy a digital product you get a personal licence to download and use the file, subject to any download limit or expiry shown on the listing. You may not resell or redistribute it.

Custom orders

A custom order becomes binding when you and the vendor agree the price. If the vendor’s deposit policy required a deposit and you cancel after agreement, the deposit is not returned — the vendor has started work on something made for you. The remaining balance is only ever charged on completion. If the vendor cancels a custom order, everything you’ve paid is refunded.

Your account

Your account is yours alone — keep your password to yourself and tell us promptly via support if you think someone else has used it. You can also buy as a guest; a guest order becomes visible in an account later if you verify the same email address on it.

Reviews

You can review a store after a completed order. Write honestly, about your own experience. By posting you let us display the review on the platform; we may remove reviews that are fake, abusive, or unrelated to a purchase.

Fair use

Don’t probe the platform for weaknesses, attempt to access what isn’t yours, or interfere with other people’s orders or stores. We may suspend accounts that abuse the platform or other people on it.

Our liability

Kairio provides the platform as it is. To the fullest extent T&T law allows, our liability to you in connection with any order is limited to the amount you paid for that order. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud, and nothing takes away consumer rights that T&T law says can’t be excluded.

Changes and the law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago and its courts. If part of these terms turns out to be unenforceable, the rest still applies. When we change these terms we’ll publish the new version here with a new date and version number and let signed-in customers know; continuing to order after that means the new version applies.
